Most of us when we speak of date we either refer to past , current or future dates. But in fact there is a lot to it when it comes to planning a project. Enhancing our knowledge always helps specially about planning which is the backbone of management.
Every activity in a project or in life has a start date/time and a finish date/time and a finite duration.
From my personal experience, I have come across 13 types of dates as illustrated in the attached image. These dates can be related to Start or Finish date and can form as many combinations while planning or updating.
